The weather was pleasant with sunny days, but chilly in the mornings and night. We spent Saturday morning in town visiting the Op shop (a couple purchases made by a few), butcher & newsagent.

Then for a drive to Nungarin to visit the military museum. We were hoping to get lunch in Trayning but there was nothing open.

Luckily we found the “Woolshed” Nungarin pub open. We started a trend as heaps of customers turned up & filled the pub. The museum was interesting for guys & the gals had coffee in their kitchen.

Russell lead us home via the lush green countryside & a visit to a gnamma hole, saw a few wildflowers. Dinner was at the Wyalkatchem pub. It was really busy but we got fed eventually.

The next day we went to the Buffalo shoot at the rifle club. The shooters were welcoming and we joined them for morning tea. We watched the 800 yard & 1000 yard shoot, we had to protect our ears from the loud noise and our noses from the smell of gunpowder.

Definitely some interesting characters here. We all (including the ladies) enjoyed the morning. Back to the caravan park for lunch & farewelled Terry, Shirley & Archie. The rest of us were off for a afternoon siesta. Perfect ending for a perfect day & weekend.
